Our Mission
For over 150 years, Immanuel Lutheran Church and School has been spiritual hub of the Crystal Lake community. Our mission is to share God’s love through His Word and our actions. In fact, the sole reason Immanuel exists is to “touch hearts and transform lives with the light of Jesus Christ.”

Our vision is to be His light as a “City on a Hill” — a central hub in Crystal Lake that fuels the spiritual, educational, and recreational needs of families and individuals in the community.

What Makes us Lutheran?
Immanuel Lutheran Church is part of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in their belief that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.
Our faith is centered on three foundational truths of the Reformation:
Grace Alone
God freely offers forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. Salvation is God's gift and cannot be earned.
Faith Alone
We receive God's gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is trusting in His promises and His saving work on our behalf.
Scripture Alone
The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
