For more than 150 years, Immanuel Lutheran Church has placed Christ at the heart of everything we do. Through meaningful worship, faith‑forming opportunities for all ages, and acts of service in Crystal Lake and beyond, we seek to build lasting relationships and reflect Christ’s compassion in practical ways. Our ministries support people at every stage of life—helping children, youth, and adults grow as disciples.
As part of this mission, Immanuel is also home to a Christian school that partners with families to nurture faith and learning throughout the week, extending the life of the church beyond Sunday mornings.

What to Expect at Immanuel Crystal Lake
We believe in a God that meets us right where we are, and we would love to have you and your family right there with us! Come as you are to find friendly and positive people excited to introduce you to our church family. You can count on seeing smiling greeters and people who will guide you to where you need to be.
Sunday worship services at Immanuel Crystal Lake offer the traditional elements of worship — the Lord’s Supper (2nd/4th Sundays), confession and absolution, the Lord’s Prayer, sermon, Bible readings, The Apostle’s Creed, and prayer — complimented by traditional hymns at 8 a.m. and contemporary Christian music at the more casual 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.

We gather every Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. for worship. All of our services feature God's Word proclaimed through Bible readings, prayer, music, and liturgy. You'll hear the Good News of Jesus through preaching that is also applicable to your life, and receive God's Grace in Holy Communion the second and fourth Sunday each month.

We have ample parking on site, with designated areas for guests and handicap parking. If you need to drop off a passenger, we have a circular loop near the front doors.

Everyone dresses a little differently —some dress up, but most dress casually. If your team is playing that day - come in your jersey. We're not concerned with what you wear, we'll just be glad that you're here!

Immanuel warmly welcomes children as an important part of its ministry. Families are invited to participate in all worship services, and ushers are available to assist you in finding a comfortable space. During services, children can enjoy individual coloring sheets and packs of crayons, which they may take home afterwards.
Childcare is offered for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years during the 9:30 am worship service. For those in preschool through 5th grade, engaging Sunday School classes with hands-on activities and active lessons are available to help children learn about Jesus’ love. Sunday School at Immanuel Crystal Lake meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 am

Childcare is provided for parents attending worship or adult education at 9:30am. Immanuel Crystal Lake has a great team of volunteers who serve whole-heartedly to care for your children. Childcare is available for children 6 weeks – 3 years old.
