Family Serving Event: Feed My Starving Children
Turn hunger into hope with your own two hands by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world. Immanuel’s team will be volunteering on Tuesday, November 25 from noon-2:00pm at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg (740 Wiley Farm Ct, Schaumburg, IL 60173). This is a great volunteer opportunities for adults and families (children over 5 are welcome but must be supervised by an adult).

Thanksgiving Eve Worship & Pie Potluck
Come celebrate with us at our Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service with Communion on Wednesday, November 26 at 6:30 p.m. This special service is a beautiful opportunity to pause, give thanks, and reflect on God’s blessings before the holiday. After the service, join us for fellowship and pie! Bring one to share or sample the delicious creations of others!🥧

Advent By Candlelight: Keeping Christmas Simple
Ladies, you’re invited to a peaceful evening of inspiration and connection as we prepare our hearts for Christmas. Enjoy a short message, singing, a photo op, and plenty of time for conversation. In keeping with our theme of simplicity, hosts are encouraged to provide light refreshments and desserts for their tables.
Table Hosts: Please only sign up for one spot for one table of 6-8 women. We will use this number to designate your table size. If you have more than 8 attendees, please consider hosting a second table.
Individuals: You are welcome to sign up and will be grouped at a table. Since there will be no formal table host, individuals may want to bring a light snack or dessert to share.

Parents' Night Out at Immanuel!

Take a break, and enjoy a night out while your kids have a fun-filled evening at Immanuel Lutheran Church & School!
Children will enjoy a kid-friendly dinner, games, and age-appropriate activities—all in a safe, faith-filled environment. This event is exclusively for students of Immanuel Lutheran School and members of Immanuel Lutheran Church and is a fundraiser for the ILS 7th and 8th grade class trip.
When: November 8, November 22 and December 6
Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church & School
Who: Kids in Preschool (must be toilet trained) through 6th Grade
Cost: $20 per child per evening (cash/check collected at the door on the evening of the event)
Registration is required prior to each event—space is limited! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for your kids to have fun with friends while you enjoy some time to yourself. Register HERE!

Join us for a brief contemporary service followed by Immanuel’s Sunday School kids program, The Unfriendly Beasts. Because of the Sunday School program, no communion will be served during the 9:30am worship service this week. Those that wish to receive communion may attend the 8:00am or 11:00am services.

Upward Registration Opens
We’re gearing up for another exciting season of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade! Upward is more than just a game—it’s a chance for families to build a strong foundation in faith, character, confidence, and sportsmanship, all while learning new skills and having a blast. It’s a Christ-centered, safe, and encouraging environment where every child gets to grow on and off the court.
💪 Want to make a difference? Volunteer coaches and support crew are always needed.
📅 Player registration opens October 1! The early-bird discounted registration runs from October 1-31, and there is a multi-player discount!

ILS Race for Education
Immanuel Lutheran School is hosting the annual Race for Education on Friday, September 26! All students (preschool - 8th grade) will be participating in a run/walk to promote healthy living while earning our fundraising donations.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 to provide new Chromebook carts, update classroom technology and support ILS athletic. These tools will equip our students with the resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive, while supporting our teachers with the tools they need to inspire learning every day.
