Welcome to Immanuel Lutheran Church
GLAD YOU ARE HERE
Below you will find information to some common questions about Immanuel and links to help you get to know a little bit about us. If you have any additional questions, contact Connect Ministry Director, Sharon Tieman -
WHEN DO YOU MEET?
We gather every Sunday, 8 am, 9:30 am, and 11 am at our Main Campus.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Our Main Campus is off Northwest Highway, behind Jewel Osco and Hobby Lobby. The address is 300 South Pathway Court. This is also the location of our School.
Our Historic Campus is closer to downtown Crystal Lake. The address is 178 McHenry Ave.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
All of our services feature God's Word proclaimed through Bible readings, prayer, music, and liturgy. You'll hear the Good News of Jesus through preaching that is also applicable to your life, and receive God's Grace in Holy Communion.
Sunday 8 am services follow a traditional liturgy, including hymns accompanied by the organ. We offer Holy Communion at every service, and the 8 am service includes a Children's Message.
Sunday 9:30 am and 11 am services follow a more casual and contemporary order of service with music led by the Praise Team.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Everyone dresses a little differently. Some people dress up, but most people dress casually. If your team is playing that day - come in your jersey. We're not concerned with what you wear, we'll just be glad that you're here!
DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING FOR KIDS?
We love kids- and love it when families worship together! "Busy Bags" are available during worship for little ones -- full of fun, quiet activities.
On Sunday mornings, we have a fully staffed Nursery (infant thru Kindergarten), a Wiggle Room for kids/parents who might need a break during worship, and a private area designated for nursing mothers. Changing stations are located in all bathrooms on the main floor.
We offer Sunday School every Sunday at 9:30am, during the school year, for Preschool through High School kids.
