Here is a look into organized ways Immanuel prays for you and serves others. Also listed are some opportunities for how you can get involved:
Members and Staff of Immanuel recognize the power of prayer and its importance in spiritual growth. We pray daily for family, friends, and people in need.
Pastors Pray – Each week, the Immanuel Pastors pray for all requests gathered on theConnection Cards, in addition to praying for members and their needs.
Victory Team – Team members pray over pastors on Sunday morning at 7:30 am. Prayers for wisdom, guidance, protection from Satan, all worship team members,congregation and any special events. There are four teams that are open for you to join. Contact Laura Gilleland at .
Faculty Prays – The Immanuel Lutheran School faculty prays daily at their morning devotions for school families and their needs.
We Pray – This group meets to pray for the needs of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. All are welcome to join Wednesdays 9:00 AM in the conference room.Contact Heather Marts at
Prayer Chain – You can request prayers by the prayer chain or be a part of this ministry by contacting Geannene Piper 815-459-5308 or Sue Holtz 815-459-7976 Confidential prayer requests are
emailed to prayer chain members when requested.
Prayer Shawl Ministry – Prayer Shawls are given to anyone in need and new babies born at Immanuel. Meetings are held the first and third Mondays of the months during the school year, 9-11 AM at the Pointe to make the shawls. Prayers in Worship – If you would like a prayer included in the worship service, please write in on a Connection Card and hand it to an usher at the beginning of the service. You can also contact the church office at 815-459-1441or .
Prayers listed in the Announcements - Family and friends listed in the prayer section of the announcements can be added by calling the church office at 815-459-1441. These names will remain in print for two weeks unless otherwise requested.
Pastoral Visit – Contact the church office 815-459-1441 if you would like a hospital visit or are in need of pastoral care.
